Urgent Need

Update from Rwandan pastors

June 2, 2008

When we present a need to you we like to keep you informed as to how God is answering prayer. We have received emails form all three of the pastors in Rwanda. As of now the total need certainly has not been met but these emails and pictures are encouraging. The government has not yet shut Godfrey's church down since they have been able to make some progress. Praise the Lord, the government has not stopped Kacura's congregation from meeting on the lawn in the open, that amazes me since his temporary shelter, that they forbid him to use, was very neat. All three churches still need our prayers but they are very grateful for the progress they have been able to make.

Email from Pastor Godfrey:
Lovely greetings in Jesus name.

It has been quite a long silence from here due to being busy. We have had to work very hard to make sure the floor is totally concreted, as you will view in the photo. It is very different now...as you will see in the pictures....We whole heartedly appreciate you for working together to help us out of the Crisis....
We still need your prayers. The city council requires the following be done for us to continue to worship in our church.
1} Finish up also windows and doors of the churches,
2} Running water toilet facility,
3} Window and doors of the school fixed in,
4} Electricity and water in place.

Thank you very much for the support and for loving us.
Godfrey and Peace
Kigali Rwanda.

Email from Pastor Leo:
Its good to hear from you especially in this time of trouble. I needed some one to tell me that they have been Praying for us because it shows that we are not alone in this . I am so grateful.

We have found hall which we pay $200 for one Sunday. About the Church building, we have finished the foundation and raising up the concrete pillars where the roofs will sit. We have also ordered 30,000 bricks by faith, which cost about $16,500. To be able to have roofs on the building we need at least $30,000. We are praying for that miracle, we need your prayers and also your support.

May God bless you so much
Yours Pastor Leo.

Email from Pastor Kacura:
Greetings to you in Jesus' name. Thank you for all you are doing for the Lord and for all the tireless work you are doing towards the success of the Rwanda ministry.

This is how the structure of the new small church building looks. According to the plan we were given by our engineer, for the sake of using our land well, we will leave a space where the main church structure will be built later. He told us that the structure can hold 250-300 people becuase it is a little bit bigger than the temporary structure we were using. It will contain 3 small rooms which will be offices. Behind, where you see the small tapolin structure, is where the flashing toilets will be built.

From the bottom of my heart I greatly appreciate God for the wonderful people He is using to provide for this building. Since the government stopped us, we have been worshiping in the open (too much sun shine and sometimes disturbed by rain ) but we thank God that very soon we will be over with this situation in Jesus name.

I know that this situation will be added to our testimony which we will be able to give in the near future.

Please extend our sincere thanks to the brethren who have contributed towards this building. May God richly bless you for the wonderful work you have done in all this. Your Rwandan Son Kanisious Kacura.
